Thursdays | 3:45pm - 5:45pm | The Norwalk Art Space | September 26 - November 14, 2024 (8 weeks) Free and open to students 12 - 18 yrs of age | 12 spots | Registration required through TNAS website Are you a fan of Studio Ghibli? Using landscapes and scenes from the animation studio's popular films, such as Howl's Moving Castle or My Neighbor Totoro, you will create your own whimsical landscape. You will learn to use gouache, a popular medium among animation studios. We will observe and discuss different scenes and how we can apply similar techniques to your paintings. Optional: You can bring your own landscape photos for reference, whether through a phone or physical copy. All artwork will be exhibited in the student exhibition at the end of the semester.
