Description Tuesday - Friday, October 15-18 | 3:45-5:45 pm | The Norwalk Art Space | Free and Open to students 13-18 yrs of age | 8 spots | Registration required on the Art Space website. In Partnership with the Norwalk Transit District, The Norwalk Art Space Artists and its students will design and paint the bus shelter in front of The Norwalk Art Space. In conjunction with the City Voices program of Norwalk, the shelter will be the canvas for students to share their unique voices and ideas with the Norwalk populations served by its bus routes. Lead artists Jahmane and Emily Teall will sketch a template in which students will add ideas, modifications, and quotations in languages representative of the student's life experiences and Norwalk's diverse culture. Skills such as blending and layering paints, scaling sketches towards full-size murals, successful use of text, and collaborating with peers will be at the core of this class.
